AQUA ZUMBA
This NEW class uses dance moves to increase your cardio while having fun in an upbeat water workout.
WATER EXERCISE
This class provides the same benefits received in a regular aerobic class, but without the stress that it puts on the body. No swimming skills are necessary. A great way to strengthen your muscles, tone your body and improve your overall fitness.
SENIOR SPLASH
Exercises are designed to gain and maintain range of motion and flexibility. Classes are held in warm water (87-89oF) and include minimal cardiovascular exercise. No swimming skills are necessary.
ARTHRITIS AQUATICS
Exercises designed by the Arthritis Foundation and the Aquatic Division of the YMCA of the USA. Classes are held in warm water (87-89oF). No swimming skills are necessary. Exercises are designed to work each joint within its range of motion and to increase joint mobility and flexibility while decreasing pain and stiffness in joints. Covered by most BlueCross BlueShield of WNY plans once a year.
AQUATIC REHAB
Y-trained staff lead participants through a series of gentle exercises aimed to provide a well-rounded exercise program for those people with slight injuries or those moving from the acute phase of rehab who wish to continue a rehabilitation maintenance program. A physician's consent is required.
ADULT SWIM LESSONS
Learn the basic! This class is designed for the non- or beginning-level swimmer. Focus will be on learning to float (front-back) and swim independently as well as instruction for those wanted to brush up on swim skills or strokes.
PRIVATE SWIM INSTRUCTION
Private swim lessons for youth and adults are scheduled at the convenience of the individual, the instructor and pool availability. Includes five half-hour classes.
